I suggest four activities to help you prepare for the trip.
We know that the end-of-year trip will be the 13th to 17th June. We need to know the transport used to get around London as we move through the city. We look for a hotel that suits our needs and look for information about cultural activities and the gastronomy of the city.
All activities will be it groups.
- Activity 1: Transport
To get to the airport we need to hire a bus. Find schedules, fares and the bus company.
We must also find a means of transport to get us to London. We give the following links to find an affordable flight.

- Activity 2: Accommodation
We also need to find a hotel. We want to be there four nights and five days. We have a budget of €300 per person. Search in these webs for a hotel that meets these conditions:
- The hotel is located near the city center.
- No smoking.
- Has a bus stop or subway near by.
Note: 1 pound = €1,13

- Activity 3: Monuments
The city is full of sites and monuments. To know them in a little more depth, create a trail of landmarks. It also includes a brief description of each site.
Below is a list of the most important. You must select three of them.

- Activity 4: Food
Before starting the trip why not look for foods which are most typical of the country?
Choose a dish that is easy to prepare. From established groups create a video explaining the steps in English to be followed to prepare your chosen dish.
Remember the vocabulary used in foods that has been worked on in the unit above. Make short, simple sentences indicating the most basic steps to follow.
- Activity 5: Presentation of the trip
Once our trip is scheduled we have to do a presentation with all the information we looked for.
Create a PowerPoint presentation with the programme and show one or two slides for each activity. The students show the video from activity four.
The oral presentation will need all group members to intervene and use the English language.
